The WisePad 3 card reader is a PCI-compliant card reader that connects wirelessly to your iPad or iPhone. You can use WisePad 3 card reader to accept contactless and chip card payments with the Shopify POS app.

The WisePad 3 card reader is only available to merchants in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Spain,Australia (excluding Norfolk Island), and New Zealand.

Card reader requirements
Note
Your shop country and store location country must be the same in order to use the WisePad 3 card reader. Learn more about payment compliance.
To use the WisePad 3 card reader, you need to meet the following requirements:
your store based is in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Spain, Australia (excluding Norfolk Island), or New Zealand
you have Shopify Payments activated as your store's payment provider
you use the Shopify POS app
Mobile device requirements for WisePad
You must use a compatible iPad or iPhone that is running iOS 12.5.1 or higher and supports Bluetooth 4.2 or higher.
